From Author's Preface..
" THE death of King Faisal of Iraq constitutes a loss so universally felt and so individually mourned that it is hard to find words to express the shock which the news of his sudden passing occasioned. This Record of a busy life was at first considered necessary to re-write the book ; but, on reflection, it was decided to publish it as it was written with an additional chapter bringing the story up to its sad and unforeseen conclusion. .."
